Skylar Lopas | Assistant Coach
Skylar Lopas enters his second season with the North Florida volleyball program. Lopas is the first assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Ospreys
In 2017, Lopas continued to build a strong resume of Osprey defense as UNF had another pair of middle blockers finish in the top 10 in the ASUN in blocks per set as Alana Shoff finished in third and Taryn Griffey finished in 10th. Griffey (3rd) and Shoff (8th) both finished in the top ten in the league in offensive efficiency. As a team the Ospreys led the ASUN for a second straight year in blocking with 256. Ashley LaBorde was named to the second team all-conference while Devyn Wheeler picked up all-freshman team honors.
In 2016, Lopas’s first year guiding the Ospreys defense, UNF had a pair of middle blockers finish in the top 10 in blocks per set in the league as Morgan Van Alstine led the league and Erin Edwards finished in fifth. As a team the Ospreys led the ASUN in blocks with 272. Gabby O’Connell was named freshman of the year in the ASUN. Katarina Raicevic and Gabby O’Connell both earned all-conference honors during the 2016 campaign.
Lopas joins the Ospreys after a two-year stint as the volunteer assistant coach at the University of Michigan. He worked with the middle blockers as well as breaking down opponents and scouting reports. Lopas helped the Wolverines improve their RPI by 17 points and boost their win total by seven. While in Michigan, he also served as a director of the Ann Arbor location of Legacy Volleyball Club. During his 2015 campaign with the Wolverines he coached AVCA second team all-american Abby Cole and helped lead the Wolverines to an NCAA tournament appearance which included regular season wins over three top 20 schools including at #4 Penn State.
Prior to working with Michigan, Lopas spent time at Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Orlando, where he was the assistant coach of the varsity men's volleyball team. He also coached the Orlando Gold Volleyball club team since October 2013. Lopas was the head coach of the 18-year-old squad and the assistant to the 14U team.
He also was a varsity assistant coach for the women's team and a substitute teacher at Freedom High School in Orlando in the fall of 2013.
Kevin Inlow | Assistant Coach
Kevin Inlow was named the assistant coach for the UNF Indoor Volleyball program in January of 2018.
Inlow joins the Ospreys after spending the previous six seasons working as a manager and graduate assistant at the University of Texas, where he was a part of five NCAA Final Four appearances and three NCAA Finals.
During his time in Austin, Inlow worked with DataVolley and DataVideo, while also working on statistics and video for the Longhorns. He was involved in all the travel and team meetings, and was in charge of running the Longhorns volleyball camps for three summers.
He also worked as an assistant coach on the USA Volleyball junior national team during the summer of 2017. The team won gold in the Pan American Cup U20 event. Inlow also worked as a volunteer for the women's national team during the 2015 campaign.
Emily Strack | Assistant Coach
Emily Strack enters her first season as the assistant coach for the North Florida Beach Volleyball program after a standout collegiate career for the Ospreys.
The Fort Lauderdale native was the volunteer Beach coach for the 2016 ASUN Champion squad. Strack was the first beach signee for UNF when it became a sport in 2010.
Strack competed on the 2010 - 2013 indoor and outdoor program and won 2011, 2012, and the 2013 ASUN championship... finished with a 30-8 overall record in three seasons in the 1,2 and 3 tandem spot.
She was a first team all-conference in 2011 and 2012 and competed in the 2011 AVCA National Championship with Dagnijia Medina finishing 9th overall.
She has also coached Fletcher High School to the first round of the FSHAA Indoor State Championship in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Doug Wright | Volunteer Assistant
Doug Wright joins the North Florida beach volleyball staff as a volunteer coach for the 2018 season.
Wright joins the beach staff after leading the MiraCosta College beach program over the last two seasons. Wright led the team to two conference championships and a state championship during his time. In 2017, he was also named the Pacific Coast Conference Coach of the Year. He also spent time as the associate head coach for the indoor program at MiraCosta where he worked closely with his wife Kristen Wright to win two conference championships.
Prior to his time at Mira Costa, Wright was an assistant coach for Tri-City Christian that won eight straight CIF Championships, five So-Cal State titles and had five state championship apperances. He also coached the top men's and women's team from age 16 and 18 while earning the clubs first 18-1’s Gold Medal at Far Western Qualifier and Bid to National Championships. Earned Bronze Medal at Los Angeles Qualifier.
In addition to coaching, Wright is a CPA and currently works as an Analyst for a government contractor that investigates fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare. He is married to Kristen and they have two children.
